Spring 2007

I am now focusing on increasing the variety of the types of venues that we are performing at. If my memory serves me correctly, this is when we performed at our first "Art in the Park" event. This is an event hosted by the Austin Parks and recreation department for special needs children and young adults from Austin and the surrounding area. They have music/entertainment on stage and arts and crafts activities are provided for those in attendance. The audience loved our group, and choir members felt great being able to share what we do with this audience. We also performed at an Austin Toros basketball game at the Austin Convention Center. I doubt the Toros ever had any better cheeleaders than they did that night! Rounding out the Spring were a couple more performances at school, an Arbor Day performance at Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Center, and another appearance at the Old Pecan Street Festival.
